Washington Business Group recently completed a very successful project in support of the US General Services Administration at the historic E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in Washington DC. This project which spanned a total of 17 months involved Construction Quality Management services. The first phase of this project included asbestos removal, construction of 12 Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) Rooms(telephone closets), new air cool chiller, electrical power support including normal and emergency power. The second phase included construction and installation for cable trays throughout the building and a redundant air cool chiller. Due to the nature of the project site and given that the government would occupy the space for the entire period of construction, particular attention was paid to minimize conflicts with government use and operations oft his highly secure facility. The majority of the work was performed on nights and weekends.
