Occupancy/Post Occupancy

At close out and move-in Washington Business Group works closely with our clients to provide the occupancy phase services necessary to complete the capital project cycle from beginning to end. We provide management services for all close out and punch list stages. WBG facilitates and tracks all required training and certifications, confirms and coordinates completeness of operations and maintenance manuals, confirms that all warranty and service contract measures are in place and fully documented, and ensures that the as-built drawings and building information models (BIM) or CAD files for facility management are in place and complete. Many clients seek to engage WBG for post-occupancy services. This is especially true for large enterprises that seek to gather metrics for each project to inform leadership and planner of lessons learned, final cost statistics and possible trends. WBG Occupancy/Post Occupancy services help ensure the satisfaction of the facility occupants and managers within the final occupied facility. Every project presents a valuable opportunity to fine tune projects of the future. Lessons learned are often positive from innovative or lean approaches that should be considered in future projects. Negative lessons are also important to avoid the possibility of repeated issues in the future. WBG understands that the satisfaction of the occupants and building managers are important in that often feedback from this group can change the planning and design assumptions for future projects often leading to reduced costs and greater satisfaction with future facilities.
